Second, how about this amazing example of a church sign:
"God bless our troops overseas. Sign vandals are the scum of the earth."
Hee hee! Must be a very loving place.
I think the only usage of "scum of the earth" in the bible is a reference from Paul to the way Christians were seen. Strange way to defend one's church sign.

When I was a teen I think on principle I would have just had to remove some of the words so the sign read "Our Troops Overseas Are the Scum of the Earth"
