"Adult Christmas Pageant, Sunday at 6:00"

"Adult" as an adjective has taken new meaning in 21st century America. Let's not use it to describe our Christmas pageants, no matter what we mean by it.

  1. This is no doubt a church that has an "Adult Choir." They can't call them the "Chancel Choir" because they don't know what the word "chancel" means, and even if they did, odds are they don't have one.

They can't call them the "Sanctuary Choir" because they don't have a sanctuary either: no doubt they have an "auditorium" or a "worship center," and "auditorium choir" and "worship center choir" don't have a nice ring to them.
