"Do the bad things of the world make you bitter or better?"

submitted AND reviewed by David Jacks, TX
Well, they made Betty Botta's batter bitter until she bought some better butter and put the better butter in her bitter batter and made her bitter batter better.

Can't they do both?

"Nobody can steal your identity in Christ."

This sign isn't that bad, but it is pretty misleading. If you are in Christ, your identity is in Him. Period. And THAT identity can never be stolen. Not because it is "your" identity, but because it is Christ's.

Keep the signs coming, and remember to send in the sermon ratings from 2 posts ago.....

  1. If you are in Christ, your identity is in Him. Period.

Isn't that what the sign said? "Your identity in Christ" - "your identity in him". What's the problem with you?

And THAT identity can never be stolen. Not because it is "your" identity, but because it is Christ's.

That makes no sense. Stating that Christ's identity is his identity is stating the obvious. If you actually go through the NT letters, you will find hundreds of examples of what WE "are in Christ", not what "Christ is in Christ".

Being something in Christ is synonymous with OUR identity in HIM. The only thing wrong with the sentence seems to be that it failed to tickle your ear that has been attuned to certain theological preference.

Nitpicking a bit too hard, are we? How about actually making some excellent signs instead of just criticizing ones that have nothing wrong about them?
