If they don't like football at all, you may feel free to hate them.
(By the way, we have a pastor or two that frequent this site that will argue vehemently that the Cowboys are, in fact, "God's Team". I expect a comment from one of them in 3....2....1.....)
(Thanks to Stephen for the post title also)

(What point are they trying to make with that sign?)

Watch your step...we've got a lot of this by-product laying around here, and we can't figure out how to dispose of it properly.

Keep 'em coming.
So, um, when exactly is God at His worst?
ReplyDeleteI'd think God's team would be the Saints, by virtue of the name alone.
ReplyDelete3...2...1...
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to oblige!
Here's where Stephen & Allen have missed it...
Texas is near the promised land - OKLAHOMA (sorry "hook 'em & book 'em horns"! ;-) ...and I'm even an O State Cowboy, too!). The Aint's don't have it! And the 'star' came to rest over the place where Jesus lay...and has now come to rest at the place where Providence has determined true football is played...Dallas!
Sola Gratia!
Wes: That's a better review than mine. Darn you.
ReplyDeleteAllen: And HE hates the New Jersey Devils in hockey.
Scott: Football...that's that sport that's almost as fun and physical as hockey, except that they have to take 5 minute breaks after 10 seconds of action...right? :)
Scott,
ReplyDeleteFor the record, I am a Cowboys fan - Dallas, that is, not OSU. How about my Aggies!
I'll settle for Dallas being America's team. God's team? Based on the current makeup of His creation, I'm going to have to go with the Brazilian soccer team for that one!
touche Stephen!
ReplyDeletemy cousin is an Aggie...ugh!
as I am often 'fond' of saying...
there's always next year.
now excuse me, it's time to go shuck some corn.
sg!
"Science is never misquoted."
ReplyDeleteHey, I think I just figured it out! Did they mean to say "Silence"? Because that would totally make sense and seems like a typical CCS saying.
Ok, I've got to get back to enjoying a nice chianti and watching the Science of the Lambs.
Zane Grey doesn't go to

Wow, two errors in the first two signs.
ReplyDelete"Love thy neighbors
Even if they're
Cowboys fans"
and
"When life is at its worst
God is at his best"
Seriously, these are crummy enough without failing to look them over for mistakes first.
Stephen: Men or women's?
ReplyDeleteScott: You enjoy that.
Diesel: And some fava beans?
Mr. D: But maybe Crazy Horse does.
Anonymous: yeah, you usually don't have to look too deeply.
you, sir, are one funny FUNNY guy. i know this, you know this, other bloggers know this. but i can't help but wonder if everyone realizes the FULL EXTENT OF YOUR RIGHTEOUS HUMOR. guessing time will tell. (seriously, that was one hilarious post you did for the Snark today, oh "dauntless one". i laughed when i first read it, and i've yet to stop. makes getting ready to head out the door very difficult!) : )
ReplyDeleteJoel: The one with the five stars on their jerseys.
ReplyDeleteGod must have at least a soft spot in his heart for the Cowboys after they pulled that game off last night. Or, maybe he just doesn't like Buffalo.
Diesel beat me to the correction on the "science" one. Just about an hour ago, I just drove past a church sign here in my town that said "Silence is never misquoted". How odd is that?! And so I came here to post this insight only to find out Diesel had already done it.
ReplyDeleteSo, yes, I think that they actually misquoted the silly saying about being misquoted.
Maybe the church signs should practice silence?!? ;)
